Dear Patriot Lacrosse Community,

The Edward Coombs Memorial Flag Football Tournament would like to offer an opportunity to become a sponsor of our event.  The tournament is being held on the Marist College campus at Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff field on November 19, 2011.  The Edward Coombs Memorial Flag Football Tournament would provide a great outlet for advertising with over 200 people expected for the event.
The Marist men’s lacrosse team suffered a devastating loss this summer with the death of teammate, friend, and brother Eddie Coombs.   A rising sophomore, Ed was an intricate part of the lacrosse team and the Marist Community as a whole.  Eddie was an unbelievable person with an extremely contagious smile.  He was able to make anyone feel like they were his best friend, and did not hesitate to offer his help whenever needed.

The flag football tournament is to serve as a way to celebrate the life of Eddie Coombs and all that he gave and offered us in his short time at Marist.  It will provide an outlet to help raise money for the Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation, which was started in Eddies name by his family to raise awareness and to provide a scholarship, which will honor student-athletes who exhibit strong character.

We are currently asking for any form of donation.  At the tournament there will be an all proceeds benefiting raffle, with all proceeds going towards the Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation.  As per donation, signage will be made available around the fields to advertise.

All checks payable to: Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation.  Donations for raffle and money donations can be mailed to address above or can be arranged for pick up by contacting, R.J. Discher at or cell phone: 973-868-8806.

The Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation thanks you for your time.
