Dear Parents and Players,

Below is a link to the summer tournament schedule and hotel accomodations. We are releasing this now, as the hotels through HBC Events have a very short cutoff date. (1 WEEK) We will continue updating this document as more information becomes available such as waiver links. Please do not delay in booking your reservations. Please note the method of reservation is a weblink through an agency.  Please be sure to use that method and do not call the hotels directly or your reservation will not be in our block.

Wellness Screening procedures updated

Update on Wellness Screening Procedures:

As you are aware, the wellness screening form gets pushed out to you by email and text at midnight prior to Sunday morning practices. (its also posted to your team page)

The screening needs to be completed by 8am to make our report.

A list is the sent to your coach at 8:05 of anyone that did not complete the screening.

From this Sunday on if you miss the 8am cutoff:

  • You must show your coach the confirmation email that is received when you complete the wellness screening
  • If you are unable to present the confirmation to the coach, you will need to go to Ryan Field and get a temperature check from the Athletic Trainer

Practice Procedures & Protocols

Important Protcol Reminders:

FACE COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED in the state of NJ- players & spectactors even outdoors. 
WELLNESS SCREENING MUST be complete the morning of practice/competition

EFFECTIVE JUNE 22: Phase 2: NJ Outdoor Youth Sports begin June 22 w/ restrictions

Groups of up to 100 persons, possibly 250 by June 22, 500 by July 3

June 22: Non contact, 6’ social distancing, 

July 6: Begin contact and competition

  • Health and safety rules and procedures provided to all registered participants, during registration agreement, by email, and  social distance reminder signage.
  • A Patriot Waiver must be completed in order to participate. 
  • Patriot “Participant Wellness Screening” form will be pushed out to all participants (players, officials, coaches and staff) in the morning of. “Participant Wellness Screening” must be completed by an adult  prior to 5pm.  Participants who do not complete the form will be screened on site by the certified athletic trainer. 
  • Non essential personnel and spectators (including parents) are discouraged to avoid unintentional gatherings. 
  • A certified athletic trainer will be on site the entire time
  • Handshakes, high-fives, fist-bumps or skin-to-skin contact should be avoided
  • Players are requested  to suit up in full gear (including face covering) at their vehicle. Players are encouraged to leave all extra belongings in their car.  
  • Hand Sanitizer will be at each field, however we encourage each participant to bring their own
  • Athletes are to use their own equipment exclusively. 
  • If directed by governing bodies, sidelines will be marked with cones six feet apart for players to leave any extra belongings, such as a backup stick and water. 
  • All athletes, coaches and staff should bring their own water and drinks to activities. Water will not be supplied and may not be shared. 
  • Coaches, officials, support staff  and spectators will wear facecoverings when 6’  social distancing is not possible.
  • Patriot Lacrosse will disinfect the cones, balls, and other coaches equipment each day.  
  • Consistent with applicable law and privacy policies, coaches, staff, umpires/officials, and families of players (as feasible) self-report to Patriot Lacrosse if they have COVID-19, a positive test for COVID-19, or were exposed to someone with COVID-19 within the last 14 days in accordance with other applicable laws and regulations. 
  • Patriot Lacrosse will notify staff, officials, families, and the public of youth sports facility closures and restrictions in place to limit COVID-19 exposure.

In the event that a player, coach or official displays Covid-19 symptoms:

  • The individual shall be immediately referred to the onsite medical staff
  • The medical staff will immediately separate the individual from the group. 
  • The medical staff will immediately call the parents/emergency contact on file from the most recent waiver. 
  • The medical staff will arrange transportation with the emergency contact on file or a healthcare facility, depending on how severe their symptoms are.
  • Individuals who have had close contact with a person who has symptoms should be separated and sent home as well per NJ BOH.
  • The medical staff will follow up with the player/coach/staff member within 24 hours. 
  • Individuals displaying Covid-19 symptoms should follow CDC guidance for community-related exposure.  (below)
  • Injured or ill Individuals will require clearance from a licensed medical professional (Dr. or Athletic Trainer) before return to play is granted
  • The Athletic Trainer determines if the participant (athlete/coach/official) has the proper documentation to be cleared to participate.


Failing to comply with the Patriot COVID Action Plan: 


  • Non compliant players or parents will be asked to leave the premises immediately.
  • Non compliance by participants (parents, players, spectators) will generate an incident report to be documented by the Health and Safety Coordinator.


Inclement Weather:

  • In the event of inclement weather, we will make every effort to keep on schedule. When chances of inclement weather are above average, we ask all parents to remain at the venue in the event of thunder and lightning, where players are to return to their cars until determined safe. Players should not huddle together, instead return to your car. Sessions may be shortened or cancelled to accommodate poor weather.

Guidance and Responsibilities for Parents and Athletes:


  • Parents in cooperation with their Player (s) are to complete the “Players Wellness Screening” screening questions prior to each activity.
  • Parents are  encouraged to educate their son (s) in the practices of good personal hygiene, sanitizing of personal equipment which includes proper fitting mouthguards, face covering, and water bottle. CDC has provided cleaning and disinfecting guidance
  • Parents are encouraged to educate their son (s) about the importance of social distancing and how they can best protect themselves and others from the spread of disease. 
  • Players should stay home with any illness. 
  • Proper hygiene should be taken after every activity: Wipe down equipment before and after participation. Wash face covering, pinnies, clothing. Take a shower. Cooperate with needs/asks of coaches/organizers
  • Coaches, staff, officials, players, and families know that sick individuals should not attend the youth sports activity, and that they should notify youth sports officials (e.g., the COVID-19 point of contact) if they (staff) or their child (families) become sick with COVID-19 symptoms, test positive for COVID-19, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 symptoms or a confirmed or suspected case.

SportsSignupPlay app (formerly named siplay) is integrated with our Patriotlax website. Your schedule is on here, directions to your events, your roster, and very handy is a messaging feature. Messaging is very useful for poor weather or while at the tournament to communicate with the team.

Support FAQs


  • Your emails are automatically tied to the app. No “invitation” is generated. You will have team access on the app when you load the app.
  • If you were a member previously, or had SSplay for another program, you will need to deselect the old team to enable selection of the current Patriot team. 
  • CLICK on My Teams on the bottom toolbar
  • Swipe left at the top of the screen where you team(s) names appear until you reach the toggles as seen below.
  • Tap on the team(s) to deselect them.
  • Now logout and logback into the app
  • You should see this season’s new team(schedule and rosters)

Why Can I See My Team on the Web but Not in the App?

When this occurs, please follow the instructions below. Verifying your email address will typically fix this issue.

Using your iOS device:

  • Log Out of the Mobile App.
  • Ensure your app is updated to the latest version
  • Must be version 2.0.1 or higher.
  • Log back in.
  • Underneath 'Missing Teams?', tap Verify your Account
  • Tap Ok.
  • On your mobile device, check your email inbox and open the Verification email sent to you.
  • Tap Verify Email.
  • NOTE: You must leave the Mobile App. If you verify your email from a computer, you will need to close the app and re-open before continuing.
  • You should now be able to select and follow your favorite team(s).

Using your Android device:

How to avoid unintended installment payments

As you may have seen, we just posted our fall youth clinics. As members, you receive 20% off (Except 2029 team, it's FREE for you) This session, instead of a discount code, we entered the team names during the registration. Once you choose your team, it will automatically take the discount.

Payments: The Elite team fee is on an autocharged, installment payment plan. When making a payment to something else (like this clinic), you need to pay attention to the shopping cart. Zero out the payment for the Elite team fee in order to not make an early, unintended payment. See image below
